New Horizons Support | RAAF Association

Our "New Horizons" program will put you in touch with Ex RAAF personnel who have run the gauntlet of seeking a new horizon in the civilian work environment and are prepared to share their experience and help you navigate the cultural and regulatory hurdles as you embark on the same quest.

Our Tips to help you manage your new adventure are:

Plan early – as soon as you contemplate the decision, start to plan;
Talk to others that have taken a similar initiative;
Connect with an ex-service organisation such as AFA – find a coach;
Reach out to your networks, let your business/industry connections know you are looking to a new horizon; and
Set realistic lifestyle and financial goals and parameters.
